How we’re building Elan Gym — and what comes next

The space — 400m2 of light, openness and breathing room

Elan Gym spans 400m2 on the first floor, with an additional 4x 100m2 on the second floor. We wanted light in the gym, openness but also with space. So the equipment is positioned a bit further apart. Screens will be placed in between for more privacy. More space gives more Elan 😉

We’re working with natural tiles in the bathrooms, color combinations that feel right and radiate calm. Everything is designed to give you room to breathe, to focus, to move without feeling watched or rushed.

What we’re building right now

Light floors, a top-notch sound system, good acoustics, natural stone, a fantastic air conditioning system, solar panels and we use tanks that collect and filter water so we can reuse it for the plants.

This is what Elan will feel like when you walk in. Clean, calm, functional — and built to last.

The equipment — eGym and more

We’re getting a total of one measurement hub, 10 eGym machines, 11 cardio machines, 14 strength machines and (what’s also new) stretch machines! So there’s a focus on eGym but we also offer something for everyone.

We’re not for everyone, by the way. Bodybuilders won’t find the weights they’re looking for with us and we’re not for the quick-fix fitness boys and girls. Luckily they can find their happiness in plenty of other places.

Sustainability — solar panels, water systems and conscious choices

The 8 roof sections are covered with solar panels so we’re always guaranteed power. Used water is filtered and used for the garden.

What we’ve implemented at the gym in terms of construction style and sustainability will be carried through to the plaza and the entire resort. We’re also creating our own parking lot so no one has to park outside our property. There will be sufficient parking spaces for both resort and Plaza guests. We’re even getting adjustable lamp posts so we can set those to be energy-efficient as well.

We make maximum use of existing landscaping.

What comes after the gym

The Plaza will be for everyone — locals, tourists and resort guests. There will be shops, a beautiful restaurant, event spaces, wellness and a VIP service.

And then there’s the resort itself. But we’ll tell you more about that later. For now, we’re focused on getting Elan Gym ready. And it’s almost there.
